What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Coordinator| Outpatient Practices position at Memorial Health?
We are looking for a Referral Coordinator to facilitate the referral process across our various outpatient clinics. This is a Monday-Friday 7:30 am-4:30 pm Opportunity! Your primary work location will be the Memorial Medical Group.
What You'll Do:
- Facilitate the referral process across all outpatient clinics
- Schedules consultation and diagnostic appointments for patients per the provider/assistants request and documents necessary information
- Contact patients to provide appointment date, time, location and preparation information for appointment
What You'll Bring:
- Completion of a high school degree or equivalent program
- One year of experience in customer service or medical office
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers and computer software, fax machines, copiers, printers and telephones
- Ability to read, write and explain or describe information to patients and/or family members
- Pay attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively and to provide customer service in a warm and friendly manner.
- Preferred:
- Medical terminology knowledge
