Our client is a Tech Rental company providing products and services to thousands of events nationwide. They understand that digital experiences need a personal touch, so they’ve assembled a team of experts to support clients throughout every stage of their event—before, during, and after.
They are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Director of Business Development to join their team. This position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across various sectors, including events, e-commerce platforms, nonprofits, amusement/recreation, festivals, financial services, and government. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of one or more of these industries, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to generate leads through networking, cold calling, and participating in industry events.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners across sectors including events, e-commerce, nonprofits, amusement/recreation, festivals, financial services, and government.
- Develop and present persuasive sales proposals that clearly highlight our value proposition.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure deals while ensuring satisfaction for all parties.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment and optimize sales opportunities.
- Track and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve or surpass targets.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to effectively position our offerings.
Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within the event, e-commerce, nonprofit, amusement/recreation, festival, financial services, and government sectors.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge of the sales process with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary : $100,000 - $125,000
