Job Overview:
As a Behavioral Aide, you will work under the supervision of teachers to support students with behavioral challenges. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, strong math and literacy education skills, and the ability to manage classroom behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supplemental instruction to individual students or small groups
- Monitor student behavior, redirect inappropriate behaviors, and administer behavior intervention programs
- Assist teachers in developing and using materials to enhance learning
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with teachers and parents
- Participate in problem-solving processes to determine intervention plans and IEP services
Required Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to meet paraprofessional requirements as defined in IDAPA 08.02.02
