Job Description :
As directed, the Warehouse Specialist Lead performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following : Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Understanding large-scale organization systems Knowing inventory control systems.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods.
- Knowing Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel Advanced Skills.
- Ability to operate a variety of tools.
- Experience using warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and handcarts.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practices.
- Marginal Job Functions : Counting and inventory accuracy. Performs other related duties as required. Practices physical security and is committed to safety practices.
Education Required : High School / GED, minimum. May substitute one year of relevant experience for one year of education.
