- You’ll be responsible for day-to-day oversight of construction activities, prepare & maintain CM’s daily observation reports, review contractor’s daily reports, project RFI’s, submittals etc., and confirm the work is in conformance with these documents.
- You’ll conduct reviews and verifications of construction schedules, inspections and material testing reports.
- You’ll assist in the preparation and negotiations of construction change orders.
- You’ll be responsible for safety compliance, review and approval of progress payments, review of quantities and daily reports.
- You’ll perform quality assurance to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications
- BS or BA in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a closely related field. 4 years additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above, maybe substituted
- 8 years’ experience in Construction Management of Municipal and/or Public Facilities
- 1 year of experience in the supervision or inspection of engineering construction work
- PE Registration in the State of California
- Registered Architect in the State of California
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects
- Past management experience on public and or private infrastructure projects working for a contractor CM/PM consulting firm or agency
- Capable of managing multiple projects including multiple disciplines and completing diverse project tasks
- Ability to read and understand construction schedules including use of scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
- A valid driver's license and compliance with our vehicle policy is required. Candidate must be willing to travel locally to multiple projects when necessary
