We are looking for a highly skilled IT Support Helpdesk Specialist with at least three years of hands-on experience managing, configuring, and optimizing Jira and other Atlassian tools. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Core, Confluence, and the broader Atlassian suite and a firm grasp of best practices for system configuration and performance optimization.
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations, user support, and overall configuration of the Jira environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment with business processes and project workflows. Additionally, you will oversee facilities management for our Madrid office, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools.
- Configure, maintain and customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, permissions, and notifications to meet the needs of various teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Jira and Atlassian tools, ensuring minimal downtime and high system availability.
- Collaborate with teams to understand their requirements and ensure that Jira configurations align with business needs.
- Create and maintain user groups, permissions, and access control policies.
- Monitor system performance and optimize configurations to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Provide support for Jira users, troubleshoot issues, and guide users in the efficient use of Jira tools.
- Regularly update and maintain Jira and Atlassian tools, ensuring that patches and upgrades are applied promptly.
- Train end-users and internal teams on the best practices and functionalities within Jira and other Atlassian tools.
- Maintain documentation for Jira configurations, workflows, and any changes made to the environment.
- Assist with integrations between Jira and third-party tools such as Slack, GitHub, and CI/CD tools.
- Provide regular reports on system usage, performance, and improvements.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility, including building systems, equipment, and grounds.
- Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring high standards of service and safety.
- Ensure the facility complies with local regulations.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to avoid unplanned downtime and repairs.
- Handle the procurement and management of facility-related vendors, including service contracts for cleaning, landscaping, security, and other outsourced services.
- Manage facility-related budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement emergency protocols, safety procedures, and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure the building is clean, safe, and operational.
- Coordinate space planning, office moves, and layout changes as needed to support business growth or restructuring.
- Respond to facility-related issues and requests from employees in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving energy efficiency programs.
- Manage facility records and reports, including service logs, incident reports, and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent in English and desirable another European language.
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a Jira Administrator or in a similar role managing Atlassian products.
- Strong experience with Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Jira Core, and Confluence configuration and administration.
- Proficiency in Jira Query Language (JQL) and experience with advanced search functionality.
- Knowledge of automation and scripting within Jira (e.g., Jira Automation, ScriptRunner).
- Familiarity with cloud and on-premise Atlassian environments.
- Experience with system integrations and API usage to extend functionality.
- Solid understanding of ITSM, Agile, and project management methodologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
