This position is for a lead role in all facets of the fire sprinkler industry, including installation, service, and inspections. Only experienced individuals need to apply—we require a minimum of 8 years in the field and at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting complex fire sprinkler systems and installing systems in a variety of locations—from industrial facilities to high-rise buildings and everything in between. This experience is necessary to effectively lead a team of installers and service technicians.
- Design/Estimating experience is a plus but not required. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook toward learning and leadership growth, a self-development mindset, and a team-oriented approach. The right person works independently, requires minimal management, and possesses strong organizational and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of fire sprinkler projects from planning to completion.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams for seamless project execution.
2. Design & Technical Oversight
- Review and approve fire sprinkler system designs for compliance with NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Ensure best practices are followed in system design, installation, and service.
3. Code Compliance & Inspections
- Stay up to date with NFPA standards and local building codes.
- Oversee fire sprinkler inspection procedures, ensuring all work meets industry standards.
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of installers and service technicians.
- Provide technical support, training, and mentorship to ensure high team performance.
- Resolve conflicts, assign tasks efficiently, and monitor team productivity.
5. Client Interaction
- Meet with clients to understand their fire protection needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Offer technical consultations and support sales managers in developing system proposals.
6. Budget & Cost Control
- Track project expenses and job costs, making adjustments as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers for sprinkler system components (pipes, valves, heads, etc.).
- Ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and negotiate for competitive pricing.
7. Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting
- Conduct site visits to inspect installations and address any system issues.
- Oversee testing of installed systems, including hydrostatic testing and operational verification.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure system reliability and effectiveness.
8. Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols on job sites.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Enforce company and regulatory safety standards for all field operations.
9. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current on emerging fire sprinkler technology, tools, and NFPA updates.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in design and installation.
- Advocate for innovative fire protection solutions, including smart technologies.
