What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional, Self Direction position at AccessCNY?
You can make a difference in the life of someone special! We are looking for an engaging staff (1:1 support) to work with a young man with a developmental disability engaging in his community. In this critical role, you will provide support at the YMCA with swimming and physical activity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with swimming, be reliable and personable. Experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate! Must also be comfortable with personal care tasks.
Hours (Please apply if you’re interested in working some of the days listed):
2-3 days per week, weekdays, 3-4 hour shifts. Approximately 1pm-4pm
Pay rate: Competitive starting salary of $23.00 per hour with potential of increase to $24.00 after six months of employment. Additionally, $.70 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location: Baldwinsville, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency.
