Job Title: Systems Support Engineer II
Location: Atlanta, GA 30318/ On-site
Duration: 6 months of contract with strong possibility of extension

Job Description
Under direct supervision, provides management information system user support on a continuing basis, either by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end-user problems.
Support intermediate level design, integration, implementation and modification of assigned user information systems. This includes coordination of the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of those systems. Provide functional and technical expertise in support of user systems operation and maintenance. May include support of labs, training facilities and general IT office software and hardware. The affiliate will interact on a consistent basis with: departmental users. Conduct needs analysis, planning and scheduling the installation of new or modified hardware/software for GTRI. Develop functional and technical IT system requirements and specifications. Provide technical support through allocating systems resources, managing accounts, administering passwords, documentation, security, recoverability and access including deploying security and operating system patches. Monitor and reports on system performance. Support internal departmental servers. Maintain hardware and software inventories including developing and updating departmental distributed software license management policy.
The selected candidate will directly support classified systems in the Dept. of Defense's (DoD) closed areas; as a result, will require a minimum of a Final DoD Secret clearance on the first day in order to perform this work.
Experience with supporting moderate to high level Windows system administration duties associated with various types of IT systems and enterprise applications not limited to Cameo and Teamwork Cloud, PKI certificate management, VDI infrastructure management, enterprise storage including quota management, backup and disaster recovery, Government Sponsor developed applications, system updates and upgrades, system hardening, general troubleshooting and other assigned duties. Experience working with test environments, server Deployment, Systems Deployments, Modernization Efforts and coordinating the movement of equipment and property control duties. Experience with supporting moderate to high level Windows Linux system administration duties associated with the DevSecOps environment including: Hyper-V, Anaconda / Python packages, Gitlab, kubernetes (Rancher), Docker/Podman, Artifactory, X-ray, Neuvector, applications updates and upgrades, application hardening, general troubleshooting and other assigned duties. Command line proficiency preferred. Experience with supporting moderate to high level Linux system administration duties associated with various types of IT systems and enterprise applications not limited to Splunk, Nessus, Anaconda / Python packages, updates and upgrades, system hardening, general troubleshooting. Command line proficiency preferred.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
