Position Summary:
Reporting to the Office Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the front office runs efficiently and effectively. Under general supervision, perform a wide variety of tasks and execute complex and responsible clerical work in the school front office; and do related work as required, consistent with job description.
Responsibilities:
School Culture
- Welcome and provide high quality customer service to all stakeholders
- Implement systems and processes that ensure front office and site embodies the values and high expectations of the school
- Ensure front office / site is safe, orderly and professional at all times
- Monitor student behavior and addresses any concerns that go against our values of Grow · Everyone · Every Day
- Assists in campus supervision during transition times and breaks
- Translates various documents for teachers and staff
- Serve as a point of contact and dissemination and collection of other communications such as lunch verification, free dress, phone messages to staff, etc.
Student Attendance, Enrollment & Records
- Maintaining attendance records and related reports
- Collecting attendance records from teachers and staff
- Maintain working knowledge of PowerSchool
- Working with students and parents to resolve issues or confirm excused absences
- Informing students, parents, and administrators about absence reports and potential disciplinary issues
- Entering information into databases
- Fielding questions about attendance records
- Assist with monitoring enrollment levels and enrolling new students as directed by Principal or/Office Manager
- Assist with maintenance of cumulative folders
Family Outreach
- Assist with contacting families for attendance, discipline, lunch, or any other issues as requested by the supervisor or administration
- Assist with set up for family meetings as requested by supervisor or administration
Education and Experience
- You hold a high school diploma
- You have reliable transportation and the ability to work weekends if necessary
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
Physical Demands
To perform essential functions for the role, you should be able to:
- Talk, hear and communicate with both adults and children in English and or Spanish
- Use hands or fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls
- Walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds and climb ladders
- In terms of vision, have close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
Salary & Benefits
- This is a Part Time non exempt position
- This is an hourly position, starting at $18.00/hour
