Garden Center Associate

• Job Summary: As a Garden Center Associate, you will be the face of our garden center, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring our plants and products are well-maintained. You'll assist customers with plant selection, offer gardening advice, and maintain the overall appearance of the garden center.Greet customers warmly and assist with their gardening needs.

• Provide knowledgeable advice on plant care, gardening techniques, and pest control.

• Maintain and organize plant displays, ensuring they are healthy and visually appealing.

• Assist with restocking and merchandising garden products, including soil, fertilizers, and garden tools.

• Water, prune, and care for plants to ensure their health and vitality.

• Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.

• Keep the garden center clean and presentable, including sweeping, weeding, and general tidying.

• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.

• Assist with special events, workshops, and seasonal promotions.

• Must have experience in assembling outdoor furniture and lawn ornaments 

• Passion for gardening and knowledge of various plants and gardening techniques.

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

• Ability to lift 50lbs. and move heavy items, such as bags of soil and large plants.

• Attention to detail and a keen eye for plant health and aesthetics.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• Prior experience in a garden center or related field is a plus.
