Position Summary
Uphold the Core values as determined by the management team. Primary responsibility for all positions with Evans Ace Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. Floor associates are responsible for engaging the customer, determining their needs and projecting requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean organized and fully stocked.
*Cooperate with others and work well as part of a retail team.
*Remove promotional bin tags from displays, and price tags as required following sales events, flyers, etc.
*Restock merchandise displays as needed.
*Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
*Provide the best possible experience for Every Customer, Every Time by being helpful , knowledgeable, and friendly.
*Serve customers in assigned departments, or store wide, and provide needed advice or information, greet customers as you encounter them.
*Assist customers with simple complaints/concerns, get a manager involved with problems as needed.
*Always be polite and attentive to customers. Make eye contact and smile. Do not avoid customers.
*Promote Ace Rewards program to all customers.
*Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements so you can tell customers about special sales.
*Always wear your radio and headset in order to effectively communicate with other associates and management.
*Assist customers with large of heavy items as needed.
*Offer customers a red basket foe their shopping use.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members.
*Skilled at providing prompt,friendly, and attentive customer service.
*Strong organizational skills with a passion for details.
*Willingness to learn all areas of the store.
*Knowledge and experience in various departments is strongly desired.
*A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required.
*Availability must be flexible including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
*Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
*Move and handle merchandise up to 50 lbs.
Job responsibilities may change based on the needs of the business.
Starting pay is $13.50 per hour with a raise to $14.00 per hour after completing all assigned on-boarding training and completing our 90 day probationary period. After the 90 days, employees will begin accruing vacation time and be eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance. An employer matched 401k is also available at that time.
