The EHS Specialist will focus on promoting a culture of safety, conducting risk assessments, and improving processes to enhance the overall health and safety performance of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections and audits, with particular focus on chemical processing operations, including Alodine room compliance.
- Monitor hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal to maintain regulatory and environmental compliance.
- Lead training sessions to promote awareness and adherence to EHS policies and best practices across the organization.
- Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS compliance, reporting, and metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
- Stay updated on changes in EHS regulations and industry best practices, applying them proactively to operations.
