What we're looking for :
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. As the Chief Financial Officer at Ackermann Group, you will oversee the financial health and strategic direction of Ackermann Group's management company and portfolio of multifamily assets. You will lead a team responsible for accounting, financial planning, asset management, and data analysis, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and growth strategy. Your role will require a strategic mindset, operational collaboration, and a focus on optimizing business opportunities while mitigating risks. Additional responsibilites include :
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's vision and objectives.
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities, risks, and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a key advisor to the executive team, providing financial insights to guide growth and operational excellence.
- Drive long-term financial planning, ensuring sustainable profitability and scalability.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.Delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient execution of accounting, budgeting, asset management, and data analysis functions.Partner with the operations department to align financial goals with property management strategies and operational needs.Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization by supporting data analysis efforts company-wide.Financial Oversight
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports, and budgets.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, tax filings, and audit processes.Establish and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.Asset Management
Guide the asset management team in evaluating property performance and maximizing portfolio value.Oversee financial modeling, scenario analysis, and investment evaluations.Develop strategies to mitigate risk and capitalize on market opportunities.Systems & Technology
Supervise the implementation and administration of financial and operational systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy.Ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of data across all platforms.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend tools to enhance financial and operational processes.Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Act as a trusted partner to department heads, ensuring alignment between financial strategies and operational goals.Communicate financial performance, forecasts, and strategic plans to investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to support company initiatives and growth.The ideal Chief Financial Officer will have :
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business discipline, MBA or CPA is a plusMinimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles5 years in a senior leadership role such as CFO, VP of Finance, or ControllerExperience in the commercial real estate industry is a plus (especially multifamily asset class)Proven track record of leading collaboration across organizational departmentsMust be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Cincinnati areaWe are proud to offer many Benefits & Perks at Ackermann Group including :
