Description:
Acro Service Corp is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our Linux-based systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of experience with Linux systems administration
- Strong understanding of RHEL and Ubuntu workstation and server environments
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, Satellite, and Landscape
- Proficiency in bash/shell, Python, and Perl scripting
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, including boot process, Kickstart building, systemd, monitoring system resources, kernel tuning, and system performance troubleshooting
- Configuring storage for Linux systems (LVM, file systems, RAID, storage encryption, SAN, NAS, and NFS)
- Packaging development and deployment (rpm, yum, dnf, apt)
- Strong network skills (package captures, NIC latency tuning, route tables and tracing, subnetting, firewall/iptables, TCP/UDP/IP protocols)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Clearance:
A valid secret clearance is required for this position due to the nature of the work being done.
Work Schedule:
This is a virtual position that requires living within 100 miles of Lexington for occasional on-site work.
