ACS Industrial Activities, Inc. is hiring for an experienced Control Room Operator to join their team at the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Plant in Tonopah, NV.
This role has a set 12/hour shift schedule of seven days on and seven days off.
Job Summary:
Adhere to plant operational procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely. Input operational system status with applicable journals and control system tools. Ensure timeliness, completeness, and administrative requirements accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to plant operational procedures for production goal achievement and safe work practices.
- Input operational system status with applicable control system tools.
- Gain awareness of system operating requirements and trends and suggest operating adjustments.
- Oversee and monitor control room screens and computers, closely watching and identifying any abnormal and equipment condition.
- Identify and recommend changes to improve overall plant reliability and performance output.
- Answer to production requests and machine or equipment upsets.
- Identify and troubleshoot process equipment, process problems and work towards solutions.
- Comply with timelines and administrative requirements accuracy.
- Track and record the status of the operational system using applicable journals and control system tools.
- Develop Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) boundaries for maintenance service on plant equipment.
- Elaborate reports and provide data for analysis.
- Report plant deficiencies using a maintenance software tool.
- Attend training when scheduled.
- Modify, update, or develop system operating procedures (SOP).
- Maintain clean and organized control room areas.
- Assist maintenance in testing and commissioning plant equipment.
- Coordinate with the Auxiliary Operator in a timely manner to assist plant operation as required.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as per company policies.
- Perform as coordinator with emergency response services during an emergency.
- Be familiar with emergency, evacuation, and blackout procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Must have prior power plant experience
- Flexibility to work according with the power plant demand
- 2 years' experience in mechanical leadership role in power, oil & gas or similar industry
- Mechanical drawings interpretation, pumps, valves, pressure vessels, etc.
- Microsoft office – word and excel user
- Must possess strong organizational skills, problem solving and verbal /written communication skills
- Must have the ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
