What are the responsibilities and job description for the accounts payable specialist position at ACSIA LONG TERM CARE?
Experience:
At least 1-2 years accounts payable experience - essential
Knowledge of AP and balance sheet reconciliations - essential
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, particularly during month end.
Ability to prioritize work and flexible to adapt to changing priorities
Intermediate experience in Excel and AIS
Possess excellent attention to detail
Good organizational skills
Ability to liaise with departmental managers and supervisors
A self-starter with the drive, determination, and commitment to get things completed
Accounts Payable Specialist duties and responsibilities:
Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors/agents
Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling accounts
Ensure required approvals are obtained for payments
Assist with month end closing processes
Scan and maintain payables records in DMS
Provide coverage for other finance team members as required
Other administrative duties as required
