Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software.

Duties

• Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary documentation for payments.
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Utilize Viewpoint Spectrum accounting software for data entry and reporting.
• Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.

Experience

• Proven experience in an accounts payable role or similar financial position is preferred.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint Spectrum accounting software is highly desirable.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of financial concepts and payroll processes is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with vendors and team members.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
