Job Description
6 month contract to hire Controls Engineering position with automotive company.
This automotive company is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. The current team is made up of 2 other controls engineers- the other two have their own niche skills they are good with, with person it would be preferred they are network savvy and have SCADA experience/networking.
They will need to be able to troubleshoot and edit PLC's at a high level although they will not be writing a ton of code from scratch. they will also need to be able to read and make red lines/edit in AutoCAD electrical.
Additionally they do have all Fanuc robots on-site so this person will need to be able to program those/make changes.
This person will be on-call as well- their on-call system is low demanding compared to others- they typically have the ability to call in and complete issues remotely but if they do need to come on-site that typically only happens every 3 months.
Typically see those remote calls a couple times a month.
Travel for this role is below 10%- only to trainings or sister locations for training.
40 - 45 hour work weeks
"Must Have" Qualifications
- PLC programming from scratch in Allen Bradley
- Ability to read/red line/edit in AutoCAD Electrical
- motion control, wiring, panel build
- Robotic programming - Fanuc
"Nice to have" Qualifications
- CNC knowledge
- Siemens PLC programming
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
