Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to support our Quality Control (QC) Laboratory. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and quality of our products through rigorous testing and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and analysis of cGMP-produced viral vectors and cells.
- Collaborate closely with the QC manager and senior QC staff to drive strategic initiatives in the GMP area.
- Perform sample assays, often running the same assays five nights a week.
- Operate, calibrate, validate, clean, and maintain QC lab equipment.
- Under the guidance of senior staff, perform QC methods, develop new methods, analyze microbiological environmental monitoring samples, write/revise SOPs, maintain equipment, and manage QC and Production supplies.
- Assist with periodic cleaning of the clean room facility and support the manufacturing of viral vector products.
- Ensure all product samples are properly labeled and documented according to SOPs.
- Maintain full accountability for product allocation across sample requirements and storage conditions.
- Evaluate and improve processes associated with sample management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for cellular and gene therapy products.
- Document all activities performed according to SOPs.
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Biology or a related science field.
- Preferred experience in aseptic technique, mammalian cell culture, PCR, and ELISA procedures.
- Highly preferred experience in GMP manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and documentation constraints in a GMP environment.
- Ability to work under close supervision and in a diverse, collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure high productivity and clear documentation.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
