The Endpoint Quality Control Specialist (QCS) is a critical member of the IRIS endpoint life-cycle management team, responsible for maintaining management quality, ensuring compliance with university requirements and college best practices, and reducing IT endpoint risks. Under the direction of the Associate Director of IT Multi-Discipline, this position will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving the accuracy and quality of endpoint data while addressing endpoint-specific needs and coordinating patching and maintenance efforts. The QCS receives instructions from their supervisor that will allow them to play a pivotal role in asset management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint lifecycle processes, ensuring the organization’s endpoints remain secure, compliant, and efficient.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience in IT asset management, quality control, or related fields. Familiarity with CMDB tools like Team Dynamix and asset management policies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage data quality and assess vulnerabilities. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams and departments. Experience supporting Windows and Mac operating systems.
Desired: Experience with endpoint configuration and custom solutions. Knowledge of IT risk management practices and vulnerability remediation techniques. Familiarity with organizational IT compliance standards and policies. Familiarity with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu). Experience with anti-malware and vulnerability tools such as CrowdStrike and Tenable.
