What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Actalent?
Description:
This position is responsible for supporting production functions to include: receiving, in-process & final inspection of components and associated testing (as required), leading problem-solving activities, defining and improving documentation, ensuring proper identification and control of materials and components through process flow, assisting with audits, testing/measurement and verification, and supporting engineering projects, prototype builds and equipment validation, conducting trend analysis and ensuring Production KPI’s measured and met.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering (Quality, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related technical field) preferred • Industry knowledge and experience to include a background in electronic manufacturing and/or plastic injection molding • Experience in a manufacturing environment • Strong analytical skills • Strong communication skills • Process/data driven. • Detail oriented • Self-motivated • Understanding of APQP, FMEA, and PPAP requirements • Understanding of IATF 16949:2016 requirements
