Quality Engineer

Description

Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring implementation of engineering changes, supplier changes and process improvements in current production. This role will focus on risk assessment, validation, and compliance with internal quality standard and customer requirements while minimizing production disruptions. Responsibilities include:

1. Change management and implementation:

• Lead quality aspects of engineering changes and supplier changes

• Collaborate with cross functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain) to assess and validate changes before implementation.

• Ensure all quality documentation (Control plans, FMEA, WI) is updated accordingly

2. Validation

• Support process validation activities, including capability studies, PPAP and Run at Rate

3. Production and Supplier Quality Support

• Ensure supplier PPAP submissions are reviewed and approved in alignment with customer and company standards

4. Customer and Compliance Requirements

• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools and internal Quality Management System.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain or or equivalent experience

3-5 years experience in quality engineering

strong knowledge of core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA and SPC)

Able to read part drawings

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
