Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Contracts Administrator to manage and administer various types of contracts, primarily FFP and CPFF, for our business unit's commercial, foreign, and U.S. government customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing, revising, and negotiating terms and conditions for proposals and orders, drafting contract documentation, and advising Program Managers on all contractual aspects to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of program deliverables. You will ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, FAR/DFARS regulations, and customer specifications, and support sales/marketing, technical, and program teams on proposal activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage contract administration and various contract types (FFP & CPFF) for commercial, foreign, and U.S. government customers.
- Review, revise, and negotiate terms and conditions for proposals and orders prior to submission and acceptance.
- Draft contract documentation and various agreements, including NDAs, MOUs, Collaboration, and Teaming Agreements.
- Advise Program Managers on all contractual aspects and assist in ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of program deliverables.
- Ensure contractual compliance with company policies, legal requirements, FAR/DFARS regulations, and customer specifications.
- Support sales/marketing, technical, and program teams on proposal activities as required.
- Mentor and coach junior team members on contract administration procedures and negotiation techniques.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations (EAR/ITAR), including applying for licenses and drafting international shipping documentation.
- Support business unit audit activities.
- Liaise with customers at all levels regarding terms & conditions, contracts, proposals, and invoicing.
- Engage Corporate Legal Counsel and Management on contractual issues and negotiations to mitigate company risk.
- Process and maintain sales orders in the ERP system.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills
- 5 years of experience with DFAR Contracts.
- Professional demeanor capable of meeting and managing the COR.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a similar field from an accredited institution.
- 7-8 years of experience in lifecycle contracts administration and management.
- 5 years of direct experience with defense (DoD) contracting.
- 2 years of experience managing others.
- Knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements.
- Experience with Trade Compliance (EAR and ITAR).
- Ability to negotiate complex contractual terms and conditions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and resolve problems quickly.
- Proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members.
- Ability to travel (<10%) to alternative locations in the U.S. for occasional off-site activities.
Work Environment
This position is remote with up to 10% travel required for occasional off-site activities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
