Working under the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist supports the operational effectiveness of the payroll department by processing day to day process using Ceridian (Dayforce). The role is responsible for helping maintain payroll by entering employee changes, terminations, keep detailed records supporting payroll changes into Ceridian, and ensure accurate setup and compliance with company policies. This will require collaboration and clear communication with Human Resources personnel and the payroll department.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare biweekly payroll across several entities and for an estimated 700 EEs
- Entering any employee changes as received into Ceridian Dayforce
- Maintaining detailed records to support payroll changes
- Understanding of multi-state termination requirements
- Assist with biweekly timecard review process (manager approves, payroll reviews O / T, breaks, meal exception, etc.)
- Preparing off-cycle payroll for any adjustments as needed
- Working with Human Resources personnel on any payroll related issues
- Payroll taxes, garnishments, Adhoc requests per dept needs.
