ActUp Theater is hiring an Executive Assistant. This role will play a central role in management and supporting the work of ActUp Theater. Duties will include managing the day to day office operations for our director. We believe this candidate should meet the minimum requirements, and exceeds our preferred qualities for employment including, but not limited to, being organized, able to work independently, able to prioritize and coordinate a demanding schedule, and manage clerical duties for multiple upper level management.
Report To: This position reports to the Executive Director
Requirements
- Ensure that daily operations of ActUp Theater are performed in a seamless and efficient manner
- Support the Hartford-based staff in accomplishing their tasks to include, Executive Director
- Resourceful in finding information and answers from within and outside the company without prompting or micromanagement; a self-starter.
- Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
- Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations
- Work independently to accomplish tasks, take initiative to plan in advance, and work well with others to execute a successful program timeline
- Carry out clerical duties, including answering phones and preparing documents
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize a demanding schedule and a diverse portfolio of responsibilities
- Well-organized and reliable with excellent analytical, organization, problem solving, and communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Sensitivity to the needs and concerns of participants from diverse backgrounds
- Manage data in spreadsheets and keep records and reports up to date
- Supervise other staff, Executive Assistants and delegate responsibilities
- Strong interpersonal skills, to include ability to work as part of a team
- Organized and working knowledge of the virtual platforms such as zoom and Google Suite with excellent computer skills
- Organize and schedule meetings and host all programmatic meetings for staff
- Additional assignments at a supervisor's request

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
