Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide system administration on government-owned equipment and software and provide upgrades and maintenance to the Tele-management (TMS) database programs on a continued basis
• Continuously update the billing hierarchy to support the expanding user base and provide file maintenance
• Track and process call usage, vendor media, and call collection devices (Western Telematics for Pollcats and Netlink); monthly service charges (each phone line on each desk and all data drops and all outside telecommunications carriers services); work and service order charges; and cable plant records
• Support all changes required in invoicing and its associated function of proper cost allocation
• Ensure the modification and development of stored procedures to check the accuracy of vendor's call detail invoices by using station message detail records SMDR as verification source data
• Maintain and update the branches web page 
• Perform other duties, as assigned

 

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree  and 3 years’ relevant experience with federal contracts (preferred), or commensurate work experience in a similar role
• Specialized experience in telecom or information technology desired
• Experience with NetPlus Telecommunications Expense Management System preferred, but not required
• Experience with ServiceNow preferred, but not required
• Experience with providing exceptional customer service
• Excellent written/oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to create PowerPoint presentations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Required Clearance:

• Must have an Active DOD Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred
