Who we are looking for:
As a Business Data and Analytics Lead, you will be pivotal in managing and optimizing our operational processes by leveraging your data, automation, and reporting expertise. You will be the go-to subject matter expert (SME) for data-related initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, implement lightweight automation solutions, and create tools that improve business efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of technical, operational, and business acumen.
What you will do:
Data Subject Matter Expert (SME):
Serve as the primary point of contact for all data-related questions, ensuring data integrity and consistency across business operations.
Collaborate with various teams to collect, clean, and standardize data for reporting and decision-making.
Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover actionable insights that can drive operational improvements.
Lightweight Automation Implementation:
Identify and automate manual, repetitive tasks across the business to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Leverage tools like Python, R, SQL, or low-code platforms to implement automation without overcomplicating processes.
Work with IT and other departments to ensure automation solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with business goals.
Management Reporting & Tooling:
Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for senior leadership to track KPIs and operational performance.
Create self-service reporting tools that empower business users to access the needed data.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting for business and operational needs.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, pain points, and process inefficiencies.
Help define operational processes and performance indicators to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Provide training and support to teams on reporting tools and automation solutions.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate existing business processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend data-driven solutions.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying areas where data, automation, and tooling can streamline operations.
Documentation & Best Practices:
Document automation workflows, reporting processes, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability.
Develop and maintain training materials for internal stakeholders on how to leverage new tools, reports, and automated systems
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience in business operations, data analysis, or process optimization.
Proven experience with lightweight automation tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Expertise in building and maintaining dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or similar platforms.
Experience with SQL or other database query languages to manipulate and analyze data.
Solid understanding of business operations and the ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
Compensation: $91,000.00 - $114,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
