The Audit Methodology and Data Analytics Lead is responsible for the development and maintenance of Northwest's audit methodology governance documents and monitoring of new or revised standards or guidance. The candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of audit methodology as well as professional practice standards and can interpret new industry and professional guidance and understand the downstream impact to our methodology. In addition, the Audit Methodology and Data Analytics Lead is responsible for leading the department's data and analytics initiatives including driving a progressive long-term strategy aimed at increasing assurance coverage, maximizing efficiency, and delivering impactful insights to senior leadership.

Essential Functions
- Monitor and analyze new or revised IIA standards, guidance, industry and regulatory expectations, making recommendations to mitigate any gaps and lead to the implementation of any action plans
- Serve as the department’s audit methodology subject matter expert, including consulting with and advising audit teams in unique or complex situations.
- Deliver high quality verbal and written communication to the audit teams and audit leadership
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with audit teams and audit leadership
- Provide training and coaching to both new and existing audit team members and to the broader audit department in especially challenging or new areas of guidance
- Further develop and maintain specialization and expertise including keeping updated on current trends, new developments, technologies, and practices in the auditing profession and banking industry
- Drive the department’s muti-year data and analytics strategy. Develop policies/procedures, establish strong governance structures, identify and inventory high volume data sources for analytics work, train practitioners on new tools and solutions, enhance the audit methodology for any changes to practices, and monitor and deliver results to the department and to senior leaders
- Exercise independent judgment and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
- Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
- Work as part of a team
- Work with on-site equipment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field OR equivalent education and related training or experience preferred
- 5-6 years of Audit delivery or related financial services experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge, ability and expertise in audit and audit execution, and a broad understanding in multiple areas of banking and financial services
- Strong understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework, including the IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and related inter agency guidance
- Strong understanding of data and analytics strategies and the ability to apply them to assurance activities
- CPA or CIA preferred

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
