Who we are looking for:
The Vehicle De-Identifier is responsible for removing all stickers, decals, logos, and company-identifying marks from vehicles in preparation for auction sales. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and professional in appearance before being presented for sale.
What you will do:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Safely remove all stickers, decals, and company identification materials from vehicle exteriors and interiors without damaging the paint or surfaces.
Use appropriate tools and techniques, such as heat guns, plastic scrapers, and adhesive removers.
Ensure all adhesive residue is thoroughly cleaned from vehicle surfaces.
Perform a final inspection to confirm all identifying marks are removed.
Conduct a visual check to ensure the vehicle meets auction presentation standards.
Identify and report any surface damage or issues encountered during the removal process.
Maintain and care for removal tools and equipment.
Keep an inventory of necessary supplies, such as adhesive remover, cleaning cloths, and replacement tools.
Adhere to safety protocols to avoid injury and prevent damage to vehicles.
Follow any legal or company-specific guidelines regarding de-identification procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with vehicle detailing, maintenance, or similar tasks preferred.
Familiarity with tools and chemicals used in adhesive removal.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Physical ability to stand, kneel, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and precision.
Knowledge of vehicle surfaces and materials.
Problem-solving for removal challenges.
Time management to meet deadlines.
Work is primarily performed outdoors or in a vehicle yard/warehouse setting.
Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential contact with cleaning chemicals.
