**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Inspector to join our team at Ada County Highway District. As an Accessibility Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our transportation infrastructure meets the highest standards of accessibility for people with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations and inspections of temporary traffic control measures and permanent pedestrian facilities to ensure compliance with ADA regulations.
- Evaluate construction plans and designs to identify potential accessibility issues.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for improving accessibility.
- Analyze data and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
- Considerable knowledge of ADA regulations, MUTCD, and related laws and codes.
- Experience with construction practices, materials, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret roadway plans, geometric designs, and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
