What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roadway Maintenance Technician position at Ada County Highway District?
Ada County Highway District is seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team! As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing roadways throughout the district.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating heavy-duty equipment such as dump trucks, bucket trucks, and paint marking vehicles to mark roadways with striping, crosswalks, arrows, bike lanes, and raised pavement markers.
- Assisting in sign installation, making, and performing skilled work, manual labor, and operating light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment.
- Working in the traffic signal shop as needed for various projects and tasks.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Idaho Class A CDL license.
- Tanker endorsement within 30 days of start of employment.
- Knowledge of road markings, sign installation, and other road maintenance techniques.
