What are the responsibilities and job description for the Juvenile Detention Supervisor position at Adams County Juvenile Detention Center?
Essential Functions:
Detention Supervisors provide daily supervision and monitoring of line staff, assist with scheduling, assist the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent in screening/interviewing applicants, and conduct orientation and training of new line staff. This position also involves working with various outside organizations such as law enforcement agencies, lawyers, transport personnel, county, state and federal personnel and agencies, and community members in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience in Juvenile Detention. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and be a resident of Illinois within 90 days of hire. Will be required to meet all other general qualifications for supervisory personnel established by the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts (AOIC), including submission of the Probation/Court Services Employment Application and certification of eligibility by the AOIC.
