What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Automation Systems Development and Design position at Adaptek Systems?
Adaptek Systems is seeking top notch mechanical designers to assist in the development of custom automated manufacturing systems. Based on your experience or desired direction, this position would include concepting, pricing, technical writing, design, detailing, component specification, and other responsibilities internal to our sales & mechanical engineering departments.
If you are looking to be extensively involved in state-of-the-art system design for precision automated and testing systems, you should consider a conversation with us. Ideal background would include related degree and some level of experience in CAD design especially in precision machine components, using Inventor or AutoCAD software. Recent graduates with an MET or ME degree will be considered to be part of our team and will participate in our internal training program to gain experience in the custom automation industry.
Concept & Quoting Responsibilities include:
· Assist with concepting, costing and proposal support documentation.
· Contribute to quote development efforts including component specification, pricing, related activities to produce well documented proposals.
Mechanical Design Responsibilities include:
· Design automated stations, mechanisms and components from quoted concepts that make up the total automation system.
· Source and integrate significant components such as robotics, feeders, material handling components and more to complete the total system.
· Detail all mechanical components to our design standards for our internal machining or fabrication process.
· Ability to address design or function related questions from the machining or assembly departments.
· Utilize our automated procurement software to purchase all needed vendor parts.
· Work with outsourced component suppliers to maintain quality and required delivery dates.
· Support Project Managers in the total system design and delivery process.
Ideal experience should include 2D and 3D CAD drawing and modeling (Inventor or AutoCAD), ability to work with Microsoft Office and Excel software and some experience with ERP data entry systems.
