Growing I.T. Consulting firm in far west suburbs looking to add technician to handle immediate need tech support calls. Looking for Full time.
Responsibilities include:
- Initial ticket response. You will be the first point of contact for support.
- Remote assistance/troubleshooting.
- password resets
- new user creation/deletion
- patch management
- Provide back-up support for the IT field team
- Some travel to client site will be required
- Rotating emergency hours schedule
- Strong communication skills and a great personality.
- Training end users - As the position develops, training of end users on best practices and other topics will be required.
The right candidate will have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients and coworkers
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong multitasking - ability to handle multiple tickets and projects concurrently
- Ability to write and present information and documentation
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- At least 1 year experience installing/uninstalling PC hardware/software a plus
- Have a basic understanding of networking, TCP/IP, and printers is a plus
- Positive attitude - required
- Willingness to learn

- 8 hour shift

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Help desk: 1 year (Preferred)
- Windows: 1 year (Preferred)
