Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller with 10 years of accounting and finance experience to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and mentorship skills, a proven ability to manage financial operations, and a deep understanding of financial reporting and compliance. A CPA is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. The Controller will play a key role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce a robust internal control framework to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior leadership to manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Audit & Compliance: Manage all internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company maintains a healthy financial position.
• ERP System Oversight: Manage and optimize the use of ERP systems for accounting and financial reporting functions.
• Strategic Financial Support: Provide financial insights and support to the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term planning.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Certification: CPA required.
• Experience: 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills with a proven track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax regulations, and audit processes. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle high-stress situations effectively.
