We are seeking an experienced Controller with 10 years of accounting and finance experience to lead our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and mentorship skills, a proven ability to manage financial operations, and a deep understanding of financial reporting and compliance. A CPA is required, and a master’s degree is preferred. The Controller will play a key role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring the accuracy of the company’s financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Internal Controls: Maintain and enforce a robust internal control framework to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior leadership to manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations based on financial data.
- Audit & Compliance: Manage all internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company maintains a healthy financial position.
- ERP System Oversight: Manage and optimize the use of ERP systems for accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Strategic Financial Support: Provide financial insights and support to the executive team, contributing to strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certification: CPA required.
- Experience: 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building skills with a proven track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, tax regulations, and audit processes. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle high-stress situations effectively.
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
