A leading food manufacturing facility in the Newburyport area is seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Coordinator (English/Spanish) to support day-to-day HR functions and contribute to a collaborative, employee-focused culture. This individual will play a key role in supporting HR operations and policies, managing hourly recruitment, and maintaining compliance with employment laws and internal procedures.

Please note that this is an open ended contract duration for 3 months. Benefits are available during the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership on employee relations, investigations, performance issues, and policy enforcement
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly roles—including job postings, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation
- Act as a first point of contact for employee questions, providing support in both English and Spanish
- Maintain employee records and ensure proper data entry into HRIS, timekeeping, and payroll systems
- Support HR programs such as open enrollment, training, engagement surveys, audits, and internal communication
- Assist with the preparation of documentation for new hires, terminations, and other employee lifecycle changes
- Ensure all HR practices comply with relevant federal, state, and local laws
- Coordinate with external staffing partners for temporary labor needs
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in a generalist or HR support role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG/Ultipro experience is a plus)
- Experience in a unionized setting is a bonus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
