We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls from patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacies regarding medication-related inquiries and assistance.
Pay : $21 - $25 per hour
Location : Eden Prairie, MN
Hours : Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and label medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist pharmacists in processing and filling prescriptions accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including prescription histories and insurance information.
- Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Verify prescription information and dosage, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries about medications and processes.
- Operate pharmacy software systems to input data and process prescriptions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or address patient needs.
- Adhere to all safety and privacy standards, including HIPAA compliance.
- Support quality assurance initiatives to ensure medications meet regulatory standards.
- Assist in compounding medications as required (if applicable).
- Educate patients on medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions (under pharmacist direction).
- Handle insurance claims and resolve billing issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
