Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team!
Duties/Responsibilities :
- Manage month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Perform balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and ensuring compliance with accounting policies.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management review.
- Analyze financial data and assist with the preparation of internal and external reports.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Support external audits and provide requested documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline accounting procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a mid-market size company.
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Experience working in a large privately held company or public accounting firm is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting principles (GAAP), and regulatory compliance.
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency in formulas and pivot tables.
- ERP experience is preferred (NetSuite, SAP, or similar systems).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
