Location: Long Island, NY (Fully in Office)

Salary: $125K-$150K Bonus

Growing Family Consumer Goods Distribution Company n Seeks a New Controller to Lead their team!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end preparation of comparative financial statements.
• Assist with the management of the annual budget and forecast.
• Prepare weekly financial dashboards and sales comparative reports
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Ensure that accounting transactions are in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee, maintain and analyze fixed assets and the general ledger accounts
• Supervise AP process for accurate coding to the general ledger
• Responsible for accurate and timely filing of monthly sales tax
• Oversee Cost Accounting and Cost of Goods and Cost Control
• Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain
• Review and process weekly payroll for approximately 60 employees (
• Review quarterly payroll and payroll tax analysis
• Supervise the credit and collections manager in all processes, including collections, lockbox monitoring, cash application, credit card processing and credit memos.
• Prepare monthly commissions reports, sales programs and quarterly rebate reports
• Assists with implementation of changes and improvements to help automate financial system

Skills & Expectations:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. CPA or MBA is preferred
• At minimum 10 years of direct Accounting and Finance Leadership experience
• Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytic and reconciliation skills as well as excellent attention to detail, communication, follow up, and time management skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
• 5 years of hands-on experience processing payroll
• 5 years of experience with ERP Systems, NetSuite preferred
