We are looking for a Controller to work at a reputable not for profit organzation in the Melville area. In this role, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. In this role, it will be critical for you to lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. - Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective- Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports- Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
