We are seeking a motivated and ambitious HR professional for this newly created role. You should have proven success with operating in a high performing team, demonstrated strong analytical & quantitative skills, an aptitude for numbers, and the ability to develop strong competencies with their team.About the Role :The Compensation & Benefits Manager is a member of the Corporate HR team. The role is responsible for planning and implementing the organizations benefit strategy for US and Canada; aligning benefit outcomes to meet current and future business needs. Also responsible for administering the organizations compensation strategy and the following tasks :Responsibilities :Administer a fair, equitable and competitive total compensation and benefits package that fits and is aligned to our companys strategy and business goalsMaintain a consistent compensation philosophy in line with work culture and organizational objectivesEnsure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc.)Use various processes to make data-based decisions on direct financial, indirect financial and non-financial compensationsAssess employees needs by conducting employee value proposition (EVP) surveysPrepare job analysis, job evaluations and job classificationsParticipate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefitsDevelop and deploy effective communication strategies and success metricsConduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practicesConduct ongoing audits and prepare reportsDesign and implement the organizations benefit programs and activities emphasizing internal equity and external market competitiveness. These programs may include retirement, profit-sharing, thrift, group medical / surgical, disability and life plans.Coordinate with functional and / or operational stakeholders to tailor local benefit strategies most appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organizations overall benefit strategyIdentify and develop ongoing strategic relationships with external consultants and suppliersLead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of compensation & benefits professionals ensuring the most effective total reward strategy implementation for the organizations total rewards compliant with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standardsRequired Skills :Demonstrated ability as a compensation & benefits analystAdvanced experience in HR practices and compensation & benefits cycle managementBroad knowledge of job evaluation and job analysis systems, Mercer IPE preferableExperience with employee value proposition (EVP) and labor market surveysStrong understanding of current labor rules and regulationsTechnical expertise in all areas of benefits administration and complianceKnowledge of various types of incentives and benefitsExtensive knowledge of HRIS (ADP Workforce Now); MS Office; Expert ExcelExperience with reporting tools (ADP R, Cognos, MS Access)Detail-oriented work style with demonstrated quantitative, analytical & problem-solving skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environmentExcellent interpersonal, communication and management skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster healthy relationships with diverse backgrounds2 years of supervisory experienceMinimum of 5 to 7 years of benefits & compensation experienceBachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or FinanceBilingual skills desired (Spanish)Benefits include : 20% bonus, 401k match, Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, PTO, paid holidays
