We are Aditi Chai, a Seattle-based company specializing in craft-brewed, authentic Indian Masala Tea. Our spot, located right in front of the iconic Pike Place Market sign and clock, offers the perfect opportunity for people watching while you work! It's one of the happiest places in Seattle.

Qualifications:

• Outgoing, socially confident, and charismatic
• Enjoys engaging with strangers from all around the world
• Experience in retail sales, customer service, or related fields with direct customer interactions is beneficial, but not required
• Calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and harmonious teamwork skills
• Punctual and detail-oriented

Requirements:

• Valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for 4-5 hours at a time
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Multi-language skills are a plus
• Passion for good food and local food systems
• Some experience as a social media manager and content creator

Responsibilities:

• Create an exceptional Aditi Chai experience for our guests
• Sample Aditi Chai, share our story, serve hot chai by the cup, offer small bites, and sell take-home bottles of our Original and Turmeric chai concentrates
• Engage with customers enthusiastically—be ready to say "Chai, hot Chai!"
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace
• Adhere to all food safety measures
• Prepare the shop for opening and closing--this will include detail-oriented cleaning
• Manage the cash register and reconcile transactions at the end of each day
• Design and implement social media posts in line with the Aditi Chai brand
• Perform research on current trends and audience preferences to create blog posts for our website
