Summary
The Staff Accountant is an experienced Bookkeeper that helps manage a portfolio of clients through all phases of the client lifecycle. The Staff Accountant helps the firm establish long-term client relationships, positive client sentiment, growth, retention, and client reference-ability.
Functional Roles & Responsibilities
Bookkeeper
- Accurately and effectively manage assigned client books
Tax Preparer
- Prepare various tax filings (i.e. Sales Tax, Business Property Tax, Annual State LLC Filings etc.)
Project Manager
- Draft written recaps of all important client meetings/conversations
- Define action items, assignees, and propose due dates for all actions
- Monitor action items until they are effectively implemented, reviewed, and closed
Customer Support
- Maintain positive client sentiment via stellar customer service
- Provide initial response to routine client requests within 24 hours
Payroll Administrator
- Prepare or review and submit payroll for assigned clients
Various other responsibilities may be assigned by Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelors (Preferred)
- Accounting Experience (2 Years Required)
- Tax Experience (Preferred)
- CPA or EA (Preferred)
- Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Preferred)
