Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm*
ROLE
The Seasonal Technician will assist with the operational maintenance and irrigation in the orchards, farmland, and open spaces. The Seasonal Technician will help with irrigation breaks, repairs, and programming. Community trash and tumble weed removal and disposal. The Seasonal Technician may also participate in pruning of the orchards, assist in the maintenance of the and storm sewer system. Assist in the annual maintenance of the mowers and vehicle fleet in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures that ensure the mission of the Districts are achieved. The Seasonal Technician must have a working knowledge or desire to learn, irrigation control systems, troubleshooting and cleaning control valves and irrigation heads, equipment operation and maintenance, and basic horticultural practices.
REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent education – Required.
· Able to lift up-to 50 pounds – Required.
· Ability to work effectively and professionally with a diverse range of both internal and external contacts.
Working Conditions:
· This position will work in the field primarily in all types of weather including heat, cold, rain, and continually varying environmental conditions.
