A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
As an Applications Engineer, you are critical to the infrastructure of our sales team. You will plan the design and implementation of ABS conveying and blending equipment while collaborating with members of the sales team and other departments including manufacturing, R&D, and project engineering. Using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS software, you will aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of customers. You will provide equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force, and act as a technical liaison to the sales team. It will be important to understand how to meet customer needs, develop solutions to those needs, and collaborate with other ABS team members to integrate those solutions into the overall service delivery model. Over time, you will develop and maintain a deep understanding of how the entire suite of ABS products are developed, deployed, and supported.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D SOLIDWORKS or similar design software
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Use of logic and reasoning in daily decision making and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Energetic attitude, resourceful, highly creative, and self-motivated with a customer focus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
WORK SCHEDULE AS AN APPLICATIONS ENGINEER
The typical schedule for this full-time position is Monday - Friday with weekends free!
