Job Summary: We are seeking a customer-focused and tech-savvy Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot IT issues, and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of computer systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Log and track support requests using a ticketing system.
  • Assist users with password resets, software installations, and basic IT-related inquiries.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or appropriate IT personnel.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions in the knowledge base.
  • Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory issue resolution.
  • Maintain awareness of IT policies and security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common enterprise applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Customer service mindset with a focus on user satisfaction and a friendly, positive demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A , ITIL, or similar certification.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking principles.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position with shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
