Job Summary: We are seeking a customer-focused and tech-savvy Tier 1 Help Desk Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot IT issues, and ensure timely resolution of technical problems. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of computer systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support via phone, email, and chat.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Log and track support requests using a ticketing system.
- Assist users with password resets, software installations, and basic IT-related inquiries.
- Escalate unresolved issues to Tier 2 or appropriate IT personnel.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in the knowledge base.
- Follow up with users to ensure satisfactory issue resolution.
- Maintain awareness of IT policies and security best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and other common enterprise applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Customer service mindset with a focus on user satisfaction and a friendly, positive demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CompTIA A , ITIL, or similar certification.
- Experience with remote desktop tools and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking principles.
