Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) currently has an opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager. In this role, you will function as liaison between the Chief Operating Officer and our customers. You will identify, qualify and secure business opportunities by cultivating and maintaining mutually beneficial business relationships with current and potential customers. You will team up with corporate executives and senior managers. You will leverage executive-level relationships to develop targeted sales strategies that convey a customized approach to all business pursuits. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop external relationships with DoD, DHS, non-Government, foreign military, commercial organizations and other Government agencies as required.
  • Liaison with current contract Contracting Officers; assist with communication flow, resolve issues, identify needs and translate Government goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate opportunity and customer information within the enterprise CRM/Pipeline systems.
  • Effectively conveys our message in both written and verbal business development discussions.
  • Hold regular status meetings with executive leadership.
  • Develop external relationships with current and future government customers and industry partners through strategic outreach and communication plans.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Provide meaningful input for planning budgets.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Develop market strategies and establish a supporting qualified pipeline, create and track schedules, and report progress to executive management.
  • Understanding and obtaining the needs of the clients.
  • Preparing various presentations and regularly attending client meetings, trade shows, conferences, etc.
  • Support proposal teams by assisting with the development of compliant, compelling bids.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in government contracting Business Development.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
  • Experience working with or for the US Government/Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Prior military experience is preferred.
  • Experience within the DOD and DHS programs is required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience, particularly PowerPoint.

 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

 

  • Work is typically performed in an office setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, bend, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
  • Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
