The Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence in the production of quad seal bags, ensuring the integration of adhesive lamination technologies to meet production targets while adhering to the highest standards of quality. This role will focus on optimizing the production process, achieving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) targets, controlling job costs, and fostering collaboration across departments to overcome operational challenges.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in the lamination process and/or the conversion process.
- Proven experience in production management, particularly in packaging or related manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of operational efficiency metrics, including OEE, and experience in driving improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of ISO 22000, ISO 9001:2015 standards, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and solve complex production challenges.
- The Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that quad seal bag production processes operate smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. This position will collaborate closely with the Lamination Operations Manager and other key stakeholders to achieve operational goals, streamline production, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Educational/Technical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in adhesive lamination or 5 years in bag making using Totani machines or similar equipment.
- Proven experience in managing adhesive lamination, slitting, and converting processes within a packaging manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and process optimization abilities.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and recyclable packaging solutions.
