Production Talent prepare, assemble, inspects and packages human use products for the Product Preparation Service (PPS) team supporting KCC business and research. This position reports to the PPS Manager and takes work direction from the PPS Lab Coordinator and Project Lead.

Candidates must have excellent eye-hand coordination. They will be largely working with their hands, whether to directly manipulate components, use hand tools, which could be sharp, or use large mechanical equipment to cut, bond, etc.

Job Duties:

• Ability to learn and work with hand-held and light machinery in the making of product components
• Assembles components/materials to create, inspect and package products.
• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time; often doing repetitive motions
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and guidelines
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Has basic understanding and use of Microsoft– Word, Excel
• Able to read and use a ruler marked by Inches and Millimeters
• Works well in group settings or alone.
• Adaptability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Has good interpersonal skills
• Has good written/oral communication skills.
• Good eye-hand coordination
• Ability to team lift 50 lbs, and up to 20lbs on your own.-Some assembly jobs will require strength to lift heavy objects during the assembly process.
